There were a ton of amazing pieces of art submitted for the Bulldog Tribune Art Contest. It was very hard to choose the winners. The winners of this year’s spring art contest are

  • For grades 5 and 6: The winner is Hannah Mellman for her cray-pa drawing called “Spring”. Second place goes to Lila Jasinka for her watercolor painting.
  • The winner for grades 7 and 8 for the second year in a row is Hailey Baker for her colored pencil drawing.  Second place goes to Natalie Gomez for her Easter Bunny sketch.

We added a new category of winner for this year, which was for creativity. The winners of this was Henry Man for his incredibly unique sculptures of “Spring Flowers” and to Millie Lessin for her painting on canvas.

Grade 5-6

1st place- We chose Hannah Mellmans “Spring” because of the vibrant color and spring like feel. Her drawing also was very unique and visually pleasing.

2nd place– We nominated Lila Jasinka because of the beautiful landscape that reminded us of a spring break adventure. Her art work was different and very realistic.

Grades 7-8

1st place– We chose Hailey Bakers piece because of the detailed rabbit drawings and scenery. She also used spring like colors and drew a fun background.

2nd place– Olivia Reynolds came in second because of her brilliant use of technology and her artworks visual appeal. Her art work was also very bright and she did an excellent job of blending colors.
