International Women’s Day is an annual holiday celebrated all over the world. In the U.S., it is celebrated on March 8. International Women’s Day is a day to appreciate all the women and girls around the world and what they do.

The first time this day was celebrated was in 1911. It was celebrated in Austria, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland. It was first celebrated to recognize women’s achievements through history.

People today celebrated this by dressing up in red and pink to show their support of women. Some women even stayed home from their job just to show how the world would function without the blessing of women. Some people even marched for their cause.
